General Meeting
January 19, 2010
The Russell County Chamber of Commerce was held at The Russell County Natatorium on January 19, 2010, at noon.
President James Gray opened the first board meeting of the new year.
MINUTES
A motion was made by Alan Coffey seconded by Ralph Creech to accept the minutes as written for the December, 2009, meeting. The motion carried.
FINANCIAL REPORT
Sharon Hill presented the financial report for the month of December, 2009. There was a beginning balance of $21,301.52 and ending balance of $19,872.32. The financial reports were accepted as read.
BUSINESS

James Gray mentioned that the 2010 budget had been presented and approved at the board meeting..

Reminder for everyone to view website and give feedback to Debbie for changes or improvements.

Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies were discussed for new businesses. Offer will be made to all businesses opened since January 1. Call office to report any new businesses.
- Meeting notices will be sent via email effective following the February meeting to all members who have registered email addresses. Contact Debbie if you prefer receiving a paper copy through the mail.

Business Expo which would allow businesses to set up and promote their individual interests was discussed. A committee of Tonya Meece, Lisa Gosser and Joy Fletcher was assigned to explore and report findings at the February meeting.
SPEAKERS
Guest speakers were Russell Springs Mayor Hollis DeHart, Jamestown Mayor Brooks Bates, and County Judge Mickey Garner.
ADJOURN
Ralph Creech made a motion to adjourn meeting; Alan Coffey seconded the motion. The meeting was adjourned.
